About Us
Are you new to the church or the area? If so, you are so very welcome! Please do check out our New to Church page to get all the practical information about what goes on at our church.
King's Church Selby is a dynamic, Bible-believing, Gospel-preaching, miracle-expecting Christian church in the heart of Selby and part of the Regions Beyond family. Everyone is welcome as we grow, learn and mature together in Christ. We are a diverse family from all walks of life unified in our energetic love for God. We love to see new people and are confident that you will feel right at home.
Our Sunday mornings are Spirit led and rooted in Biblical truth as we celebrate all that God has done and is doing. We begin with a warm welcome and an invitation to join us in worshipping Jesus Christ. Our worship is vibrant and lively as we lift up His name together - it's a time for singing, dancing, and praising God - every week we expect God to meet with us and speak to us so there is time and opportunity to share a sense of what God is saying.
After our worship time, we have a talk (preach/sermon) either working through a book of the Bible or a topic that the leaders of our church have felt God is placing on their hearts. There is time for prayer and fellowship at the end of our service as we take what has been learnt into the coming week.
During the week, we come together in smaller house groups (Cell groups) as well as monthly Ladies and fortnightly Men's meetings. These smaller groups allow God-orientated friendships to flourish as we establish accountability, encouragement and support systems to build one another up. We have been blessed with many opportunities of outreach into our communities such as working closely with several local schools and sharing Jesus through half-termly assemblies as well as putting on 'The Christmas Experience' - a walk through nativity story annually since 2015. We are actively working along side other agencies to express God's love in a practical way.
