Naomi speaks from Luke 1 verse 26. - 38 on an ordinary woman having extraordinary faith and saying yes to God's plan for her life. Naomi speaks on how our expectations don’t always align with what God has in store, but we can have absolute confidence that ‘Nothing is impossible with God.’

‘How great is our GOD!’ Dave speaks from Luke 1v 34 - 38 & 2 v 1 - 14. ‘Glory is the visible manifestation of the holy mystery of God’. Rejoicing at the salvation brought to us by the good news of Jesus’ birth we find that ‘we have need of a saviour as we will never be able to save ourselves.’ and then ‘You cannot help but give yourself to God’s will and God’s work!’.

‘And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favoured one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!’ Luke 1 v 28. Pete introduces us to Luke 1 v 26 - 38 and the coming of the Angel to Mary announcing the amazing news that Mary was to be the mother of Jesus. ‘The whole pivotal point in history is when Jesus is born!’

‘And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.’ Acts 2 v 42. Dave Ward continues our look into the book of Acts and focuses our attention to Chapter 2 v 42, reminding us that devotion is the idea of persisting in an activity and that no one else can be devoted to God on your behalf. Devotion is expressed to the one you love. ‘The legacy of Pentecost was a life lived out together.’ and ‘There is no such thing as a church-less Christian!

‘And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4 v 12 AJ Durling speaks from Acts 4 v 1 -14 giving 4 practical pointers to help us deal with opposition in regard to ‘walking against the flow of the world’ and asks, amount other questions, ‘How do we take confidence from prophecy?’.

‘How effective are you as a witness?’ and ‘If we don’t understand our assignment then seeking power is useless!’ ‘But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses to Me …’ Acts 1 v 8. Ikpe draws our attention to many scriptures which in turn drops in our spirit our identification, function and assignment directing us to our mandate to be witnesses.

‘Silver and gold I have not, but what I do have I give you; in the name of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth, rise up and walk!’ (Acts 3). ‘The great commission is our mission.’ Ange speaks from Acts 3 v 1-10. ‘When the Holy Spirit comes upon us there is a transformation that takes place!’

‘Miracles are to be experienced!’ It was wonderful to have Alan Bell from Emmanuel Church Durham speaking this morning from Exodus and Acts and the power of the Holy Spirit.

‘God is going to meet with you today!’ Beginning in Acts 2 v 12-21 and then moving through Colossians 3 v1, Matthew 7 v 24 - 27 to Luke 9 v 23, Ange bring the reality of following Jesus and our desperate need for the Holy Spirit!

Introducing the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, Pete speaks from Acts 2 v 1 -12 and brings the questions the crowd asked the disciples to us and do we ask, ‘ What does this mean? and ’What should we do?’.
